Research Interests:
My research interests are in phonetics, articulatory phonology, second language acquisition, and prosody.
Current projects: (1) Phonetics and phonology of vowel reduction in Brazilian Portuguese; (2) Relative stability of gestural timing of a complex segment vs. a comparable cluster; (3) The effect of L2 on L1 focusing on final devoicing in Bulgarian (in collaboration with Jason Bishop); (4) The underlying tonal pattern of AP and the prosodic structure of Chungnam dialect of Korean (in collaboration with Sun-Ah Jun); (5) Vowel Reduction in Two Varieties of Bulgarian (in collaboration with Jason Bishop).
